Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for Permanent Mooring Anchorage at Lock & Dam 52 of the Ohio River at 962.6 miles downstream from Pittsburgh. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all operations in detailing and setting mooring anchors in the river bed at Lock & Dam 53 of the Ohio River at 962.6 miles downstream from Pittsburgh. These mooring anchors will be used to support USACE operations in the replacement of dam wickets. Mooring anchors will need to have the capacity to anchor working vessels in an open river condition with river velocities reaching 6 fps and loading capacity of 200 kips. Total of 6 to 8 driven plate anchors will be required to be installed in the river bed. All equipment and personnel will need to comply with safety standards and regulations from the USACE EM 385-1-1 Safety Manual. The contract will start early in 2015 and be completed mid 2015. Please reply to the Corps with similar past work experience. Contract duration is estimated at 150 days. The estimated cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS Code is 237990. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email 6 January 2014 by 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - Provide descriptions of your firm's past experience on projects more than 90% complete or those projects completed within the last 5 years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. For each project submitted, include: a. Identify who was the Prime Contractor b. Identify the percentage of self performed direct contract labor excluding other general condition or field overhead personnel, material, equipment, or subcontractors. c. Current percentage of completion and the date when it was or will be completed. d. Size of the project. e. Dollar value of the project. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Please only include a narrative of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed.
