SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A SURVEY OF THE MARKET TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE POTENTIALCONTRACTORS THAT CAN SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS This is a sources sought notice for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as a request for SF330's or an obligation on the part of the VA. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify qualified businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), small disadvantaged businesses (SDB), Women-owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business, 8(a) Small Business and small business concerns that are interested in and capable of performing the work described herein. The NAICS code is 541330 and the corresponding size standard is $7.5 Million. Your responses to the sources sought will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The VA Northern California Healthcare System has a requirement to hire an Architect and Engineering firm to conceptualize, design for construction, and provide design support services for a new 14,884 square feet Dermatology Outpatient Building that will include 7,084 sf for Specialty Care, 3,000 sf for OI&T, 1,350 sf of Admin, and 3,450 sf of Common/Swing space and demolish and remove approximately 12,000 sf of existing modular trailer-style buildings at the Sacramento Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Demolition includes buildings: 801, 801A, 801B, 805, 806, 807, and T-7. Project also constructs 22 additional surface parking spaces. The design should include renewable energy (such as PV Panels), sustainable design features, and meet LEED Silver certification. The A/E shall prepare 30% Schematic Design Documents, 60% Design Development Documents, 90% and 100% Construction Documents, Specifications, and Cost Estimates. The A/E firm will be required to perform any NEPA documentation required for this project. The design shall incorporate sustainable products and construction methodology. Services shall be provided for the VA Northern California Healthcare System located at 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, California. All work must meet the VA design guide criteria; comply with applicable building codes, seismic criteria, and VA Specifications. All interested parties must have an established working office within the State of California, be of sufficient size and experience to accomplish the work, and be licensed in the State of California. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing by email, to denard.fobbs@va.gov and received no later than later than 12 PM Pacific Standard Time, January 8, 2015. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number. No telephone inquiries will be accepted and no additional information regarding the scope of work is available at this time.
