- Description
- This requirement is to construct two rock filled gabion check structures approximately 15'-19' high and between 300' to 400' feet in length. The function of these structures is to attenuate storm run-off and catch flood borne debris and sediment along Santa Clara Creek. Structures are to be comprised of interconnected rock-filled wire gabion baskets. Work includes diversion and care of water, structural excavation and backfill, installation of rock filled gabion baskets and mattresses, wire-wrapped riprap, placing concrete on the overflow weirs, development of staging areas, disposing of waste materials, along with cultural and environmental mitigation. This work will take place on the Santa Clara Pueblo, located in northern New Mexico about 90 miles from Albuquerque.
