The FAS is included as a line item in the Authorized Medical Allowance List (AMAL) 639, Operating Room (OR) Equipment and AMAL 645 Forward Resuscitative Surgery System (FRSS). The FRSS is a highly mobile, responsive, and flexible trauma surgery platform that provides initial emergency surgery procedures as close to the point of wounding as tactically possible. The OR contains equipment and supplies to augment the FRSS; it is equipped for long term use and does not deploy unless the Marine Corps is immobile for a while. Training, reports, and other such documentation is anticipated. This effort is a full and open competition and is a commercial procurement under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 guidelines. The NAICS code is 339112. The Government will issue a single award to the successful offerer. Marine Corps Systems Command will be evaluating proposals and making an award by applying the best value trade-off process in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-1. The award will be a commercial, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The Government anticipates the period of performance shall be a total of 60 months after the date of contract award with one (1) base year and four (4) ordering periods of 12 months each.
