- Exploded Views Profiles and Copes Allenwood floorplan NCIC Form UNICOR, Office Furniture Group (OFG), is soliciting prequalification proposals from vendors for a 3 phase, automated finishing line to include stain, sealer and top coat for flat panels with veneer and lumber banding with a variety of profiles. Panel sizes: Minimum and Maximum dimensions of Allenwood Furniture (AWFT) panels for Length, Width, and Thickness. Minimums: L = 70 mm W= 37 mm TH= 3 mm Maximums: L = 2592 mm W = 1917 mm TH= 51 mm ** at least 90 % of AWFT production falls within the 18 to 30 mm range for thickness. Drawer parts: We purchased 2,574 5'x5'x1/2" sheets and 1,257 4'x8'x1/4" sheets of prefinished birch plywood in FY'14. We anticipate utilizing this equipment to finish these materials in-house for future requirements. ***Total savings on unfinished drawer stock is $49,568.16, based on FY '14 load. Drawings of all profiles on AWFT panels, and an exploded view desk for reference. See attachments #1 & #2. Spreadsheet listing all panels and dimensions for AWFT. See attachment #6. Factory Floor Plan for AWFT. See attachment #3. Current Top Coat build on AWFT's case goods. AWFT currently utilizes (1) stain coat application, and a (4) step top coat application. The top coat build targets 12-13 wet mils of application, yielding approximately 4 dry mils. Substrate and veneer specifications for AWFT raw materials. See attachment #4. Existing Heesemann sander's model number. Model #: Heesemann MFA 2003.11.281 Serial #: XAP496CM024C.2 The targeted delivery date for machinery is June 2015 or sooner. There will be a pre-proposal conference held at FCC Allenwood, Allenwood Federal Prison Complex, Rt. 15 - 2 miles north of Allenwood, Allenwood, PA 17810 on January 7, 2015. All vendors SHALL arrive at Allenwood no later than 7:45 am. The tentative schedule for the conference is as follows: 8:00 am - 8:30 Process Vendors 8::45 am -10:30am Factory Tour 10:45 am - 12:00 noon Q&A Session Vendors may submit questions prior to the conference to Tatea Cavanaugh at Tatea.cavanaugh@usdoj.gov. All questions must be submitted in writing, no questions will be answered verbally. Vendors are not to contact factory staff for any reason. Each vendor can bring up to three people to the pre-proposal conference. All attendees must complete the attached NCIC form and return to Mrs. Cavanaugh by January 2, 2015 at 1:00pm. This is an RFI (Request for Information) and does not obligate UNICOR OFG to pay any cost that any vendor incurs in the preparation of its response. All cost associated with the preparation of a response to this request will be borne solely by the vendor. All submitted responses shall become the property of UNICOR OFG and will not be returned.
