- Specifications Plans W911XK-14-B-0014 FY14 Duluth Area Office Roof Replacement Solicitation Base: 1. Replace the top 2 roofing layers only (tar membrane and perlite material) of both attached buildings (Area Office and Visitor's Center), leaving the existing foam insulation in place. New membrane material will be 90-mil EPDM rubber membrane (black) material will be installed (approx. 9,000 SF) 2. Install a 2nd roof drain similar to the existing one on the west end of the Area Office building. The added drain will be situated approximately 5 ft. off of the existing with a higher elevation due to the slope and would act as a secondary drain. This drain will tie into the existing 4" vertical pipe on the existing drain (parallel to joist members). 3. Replace all damaged foam insulation that is identified during removal (assumed not to exceed 10%). Option: 1. Painting of the cornice sheet metal for AO building. Replace damaged cornice sheet metal necessary. 2. Replace pigeon spikes replacement with bird deterrent wire system around exterior of building. 3. Roof repair due to small fire damage at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vessel Yard located at 901 Minnesota Avenue, Duluth, MN 55802
