- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Cincinnati Procurement Operations Division (CPOD) and Office of Research and Development (ORD), National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), Air Pollution Prevention Control Division (APPCD) The EPA/ORD/NRMRL/APPCD has a requirement for a Routing Table with Plasma Option at EPA's NRMRL Laboratories in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. NRMRL/APPCD operates a machine and fabrication shop in support of its research facilities. The minimum specifications for the Router Table with Plasma Option are as follows: -5' x 10' platform for plasma and routing -- Production Cut 5/8" Minimum -CAD Module with the following requirements : oImport shapes or draw them in CAD oScan and convert shapes for cutting oScale shapes to any desired size oDuplicate shapes in any number and pattern oAutomatic nesting, including rotation and flipping oAutomatic insertion of lead-ins and lead-outs oAutomatic kerf compensation oAutomatic control of torch travel direction oControl of cut order oExport finished shape patterns as dxf files -BobCAD 3D Software or equivalent -Driver Software -X and Y cable carrier -Gear rack drive - Precision ground rails -6 HP, 18,000 RPM manual tool change spindle -208 VAC, 3 phase power -4 KW variable frequency drive (VFD), programmable 0-300 Hz -30' cable to VFD -?" ER collet -?" ER collet -Collet wrench and spindle wrench -Mist coolant spray assembly including magnetic mount spray unit, air and coolant suction lines -6' dual tool mounting option -Hypertherm or equivalent PMX125 CSA machine system, 480 volt, 3 phase, 60 Hz/CPC/serial/180 degree torch/hand clamp 50' long -Arc voltage height control with magnetic breakaway including 50' motor cable, control box, precision lifter station with smart motor, 10' input cable for signal generator, and 50' raw arc voltage and start wires -Tube cutter --side mount, 10' length, minimum 10" pipe with STEPPER motor, pre-assembled and installation-ready -4 each slat support brackets ( 4' section ) and 2 each slat support brackets ( 2' section ) The device needs to be turn-key and ready to operate. The requirement includes the contractor's standard on-site training for the device. The table shall be shipped to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina FOB destination. This acquisition is being conducted as a competitive total small business set-aside. It will be accomplished using FAR Part 12 and 13 Procedures. The EPA anticipates awarding a single fixed price purchase order. The EPA anticipates award will be made by January 30, 2015. The request for quotation is anticipated for release on or about January 6, 2015, and will be made available through FedConnect at www.fedconnect.net.
