- Description
- G15PS00057 The purpose of Amendment 000002 is to answer the following two questions: 1. Q: With regard to your current RFP for a couple of ICPMSs, can you tell me what brand and revision of LIMS software that you have and a little bit about what kind of interface that the end user would like, i.e. unidirectional with results going out from the ICPMS to the LIMS, or bidirectional with autosampler tables being populated from the LIMS and results going back out? 1. A: We are currently running version 9.381.004 of the StarLIMS executable. It would be good to point out that we are planning an upgrade to StarLIMS 11 in the next few years. The question about unidirectional vs bidirectional is trickier. Right now, we do send information via worklists to the instrument and then the instrument sends results back to LIMS, but there is no actual connection between LIMS and the instrument (such as a serial comm RS232 or USB). We do all of this communication via files.
