Description
The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) of Fort Detrick, Maryland has a requirement for the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) of Aberdeen Proving Grounds - Edgewood Campus, Maryland to procure transportation services through a Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. USAMRICD provides graudate level medical education programs to military and civilian personnel. USAMRICD is a world-class organization and clear leader in medical research, education, training, and consultation. This procurement will provide charter bus transportation services for the military and civilian personnel attending the training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds - Edgewood Campus and Fort Detrick. The personnel will be picked-up at Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and tranported to one of two locations. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached. The resulting contract is planned as a twelve-month base year with four twelve-month option years. This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. quote mark As part of this sources sought, all respondents must provide, as part of their responses, a capability statement, quote mark white paper, quote mark answers to questions/issues provided below: i. respondents' opinions about the difficulty and/or feasibility of the potential requirement or proposed acquisition, possible solutions and approaches that may currently exist in the marketplace, and information regarding innovative ideas or concepts; ii. information regarding respondents': (a) staff expertise, including their availability, experience, and formal and other training; (b)prior completed projects of similar nature; (c) corporate experience and management capability; and (d) examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information; iii. respondents' DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, etc) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code. All capability statements shall be submitted as such: Submissions shall be sent electronically to Erin Maddox at erin.j.maddox.civ@mail.mil (telephone and facsimile responses will not be accepted). The information should be provided in a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF. Responses are due on 9 January 2015 at 10:00 a.m. eastern standard time.
