- 1. Solicitation will be issued on or about: 9 January 2015 2. Estimated closing/response date: 9 February 2015 3. PR #: FD2030-14-02499 4. Nomenclature/Noun: ROTOR COMPRESSOR 5. NSN: 2840-01-263-1579 6. P/N: 6006T80G32 7. Application (Engine or Aircraft): J85-21 8. Description: ROTOR, COMPRESSOR 9. Total Line Item: 1 ea Destination: TBD Required Delivery: 1 ea on or before 25 OCT 2015 10. Other: Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Acquire, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. This part has been designated a high reliability part under a formal reliability program. Probability of failure would be unacceptable from the standpoint of safety of personnel and/or equipment. The cognizant engineering activity has determined that data to define and control reliability limits cannot be obtained nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications for this purpose. If one source is available, AMCs 3 is valid. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) 11. Interested persons/firms may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement, proposal or quotation. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested sources may submit a capability statement, quotation or proposal that will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 12. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
