- supporting document SOW THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY FOR IDENTIFYING Custom Manufacture Packaging Equipment Suppliers for the United States Postal Service (USPS) Automated Packing System (APS) unit. This is not a solicitation announcement for quotations, proposals, or bids and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and/or any follow-up information requests. No telephone calls requesting a solicitation will be accepted or acknowledged. There is no solicitation available at this time. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to identify potential sources interested and capable of providing a packaging equipment solution that combines the appropriate performance and design specification as outlined in the USPS Engineering Automated Packing System (APS) Statement of Work and supporting attachment. Potential sources are considered potential qualified businesses, relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 333993 Packaging Machinery Manufacturing or the Standard Industrial Classification code (SIC) 3565, Packaging Machinery. The following evaluation factors are the basic non-price evaluation factors that USPS will consider in pre-qualifying potential suppliers. 1) Supplier will provide their Past Performance that demonstrates their Technical Solution is relevant to the requirements in the USPS statement of work, provides a proven history on research and custom development capabilities, and quality reporting to meet the Postal Service requirements in the manufacturing and installing a USPS Automated Packing System (APS) unit. 2) The supplier must have the resources to perform manufacturing and product testing to uphold the quality and meet the USPS equipment specifications. 3) The supplier must have a demonstrated record of forecasting accuracy, continuous improvement, innovation, containing/reducing costs, and a customer-centric focus.
