Description
P15PS00167 MODIFICATIONS Modification #1, 12/02/14, is to correct the solicitation attachment. No other terms were changed. Modification #2, 12/22/14, is to add an optional line item to install in cab controls and plumb hydraulic lines to run sanders for the 10-yard trucks, and to clarify information concerning the (3) plow hitches, items D) & G), as follows: It is the intent of Grand Canyon National Park to purchase (3) plow hitches....The contractor shall mount hitches to three 2015 Freightliner MS106 dump trucks with frame rail extensions, including in-cab hydraulic controls to operate plow hitch and snow plows from driver's seat. The 2015 Freightliner dump trucks, on which the contractor will mount the hitches, come with front frame extensions, which will be a minimum of 18 inches. The front frame extensions will also include a stationary grill, radiator, hood, and other equipment required for the installation of a front crankshaft PTO. The PTO, itself, is not included on the dump trucks. The bumper will be the chassis manufacturer's swept-back full width. The frame extension load rating will be at least half the GAWR of the front axle furnished as standard. The NPS has added a line item for hitch installation, assuming the contractor will need to travel to the South Rim of Grand Canyon NP and perform all work at the heavy equipment facility. This line item will not be considered as part of the "Lowest Price Technically Acceptable." NPS will evaluate quotes on the items / deliverables, lines items A ¿ H, and K Applicable Sales Tax. ==There is a.PDF version of this RFQ is attached on FBO & FedConnect.net > Public Opportunities > Reference Number P15PS00167. Please see the attachment for the complete solicitation and modifications. == This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This request is being issued as Request for Quotation P15PS00167. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions enclosed within are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53. FAR clauses and provisions are available through Internet access at http://www.ACQUISITION.gov/far. For the sake of easy reading, we will refer to the National Park Service as Us, We or Park Service, and interested bidders as You / Your. It is the intent of Grand Canyon National Park to purchase the following: A) One (1) reversible 11-foot snowplow. Henke43R12ISTTTE with 1x6 runners, or equal, with compatible accessories. The snowplow shall be reversible, 11 feet wide, J-style steel plow, 43 inches tall with a trip edge. Plow shall utilize a tube push frame with an A frame slide to assure a level lift in all positions. B) One (1) wing style truck mounted snowplow. Henke UBPW 8-8 foot Under Body Patrol Wing Snowplow, or equal. Quote must include installation on Frieghtliner MS106 6x6 56,000 GVW dump truck with in cab hydraulic controls. Mid or rear mount style Leading end height 29-inch and discharge end height 36-inch 3/16-inch thick, high tensile steel rolled plate moldboard with box paneled design Telescoping, spring cushioned, adjustable pushbar All hydraulic lift-no cables Post assembly and mounting hardware, including rear underbody cross tube Rear pintle hitch mount Cutting edge C) Three (3) plow hitches. Henke Plow hitch, or equal. Hitches will be mounted to 2015 Freightliner MS106 dump trucks with frame rail extensions and front PTO provisions. All quotes will include in Cab Hydraulic controls to operate plow hitch and snow plows from driver ¿s seat.
