Description

DLA Aviation in Philadelphia plans to award a contract for the procurement of Aft Pneumatic Sources, P/N: 212A4002-6, NSN: 1680-01-621-431, for a total of 2 units, in support of the P-8 Aircraft. The AMC code for this item is 3H which certifies the requirement to be acquired directly from the actual manufacturer, whether or not the prime contractor is the actual manufacturer. The government physically does not have in its possession sufficient, accurate, or legible data to purchase this part from other than current source(s). Therefore, this is a sole source requirement. Even though this item is sole source, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The subject items require Government source approval prior to contract award, as the items are flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support procure via full and open competition. Only the source previously approved by the Government for procurement of this item will be solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
