This conference is being planned for August 2 - 6, 2015 in Pittsburg, PA, but is subject to receipt of official Government approval. The specific objective of this effort is to provide all of the necessary support for the planning, marketing, and production of the conference. Key outcomes are as follows: The opportunity for the entire DoD Corrosion Prevention and Control community including military, Government civilian, allied nation, industry, and academic personnel to share knowledge of current and future issues, initiatives, and capabilities in the area of corrosion control for DoD weapon systems, facilities, and infrastructure, allowing for: * Efficient knowledge and information exchange between maintainers, engineers, and scientists involved in the development and execution of new corrosion control technologies * Creation of a collaborative environment enabling government and industry corrosion control practitioners to share knowledge, unique perspectives, and lessons learned * The opportunity for networking within the DoD Corrosion Prevention and Control community not normally available due to geographic assignments including interaction with international counterparts  * Professional development for members of the DoD Corrosion Prevention and Control Community through formal training, participation in technical symposia, and involvement in focused workshops The scope of work encompasses logistical event support and technical program development to assist the office of the Director, Corrosion Policy and Oversight in conducting the conference. Contractor performance includes the entire spectrum of meeting planning, contracting, meeting management, and event production. The contractor must be able to leverage member and committee structures and/or operations within those communities to inform Conference agendas, identify and arrange for speakers or panel members, and increase the initial contact populations of potential attendees. The period of performance is anticipated to begin on or about February 1, 2015 and end no later than September 30, 2015. This is a no-cost contract.
