- Description
- The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR) awarded a firm fixed price modification to Contract N00019-15-C-0010 on a sole source basis to Thales Underwater Systems (TUS), Brest, France for the procurement of material end items for the Government retrofit of the Reeling Machine (RM) Cable Angle Sensor, RM Manual Reducer Safeguard and RM Auxiliary Electric Motor. This requirement was procured in accordance with FAR 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services satisfied the agency requirements. GENERAL INFORMATION: TUS is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and as such is the only known source with the technical data, knowledge and technical experience necessary to perform this effort within the time frame required to meet the Governments needs. Consequently, TUS is the only contractor that can meet the Government's requirement.
