THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT notice for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify qualified businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Businesses, 8(a) Small Business and Small Business concerns that are interested in and capable of performing the work described herein. The NAICS code is 621511 and the corresponding size standard is $32.5 Million. Your response to this sources sought will assist the Government determine the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veteran's Integrated Network 21, Network Contract Office will be issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a contractor to provide infectious disease reference lab testing including mycology cultures and microbiology identification tests. The tests to be performed are assays that the facility does not have the biological safety infrastructure to perform on site. Information shall include: 1.Type of socio-economic category, 2.DUNS Number, BACKGROUND The Pathology and Laboratory Services (P&LMS) is located VASNHCS Clinical Microbiology Lab, 975 Kirman Avenue, Reno, NV 89502. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The Department of Veterans Affairs, Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) is searching for sources capable of performing infectious diseases reference lab testing, including mycology cultures and microbiology identification test services. The tests to be performed are assay that the facility does not have infrastructure to perform on site; some tests require Biological Safety Infrastructure not present within the infrastructure of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Clinical Laboratory Microbiology. The assays include Mycobactrium cultures with susceptibilities, Mycology cultures, other tests for tuberculosis and sexually transmitted disease organisms in addition to complicated microbiology identifications or confirmations and organisms on the National Security Bioterrorism list on controlled organisms. Specimens shall be picked up by contractor's lab personnel each regular tour work day (Monday through Friday.) Licensure and Accreditation: CLIA licensure is required.
