Description

This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about January 21st, 2015 to repair a portion of Building 34 roof, Project No. 528A5-15-507. Scope of this project is to demo a portion of the old slate shingle roof and replace with composite shingles matching the aesthetics of the original slate. Contractor is to allow one week in the construction schedule after demolition is complete for Veterans Administration Medical Center staff to inspect and repair any damaged area of the substrate. Provide and install new felt layer with ice/water shield and new composite man-made Class A shingle system per the reference and the specifications. Install ice and water shield at all valleys and at all drip edges and rakes. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses'. The NAICS code is 238160. The small business standard is $15.0 M. The cost range is $100,000 to $250,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid if the bid exceeds $150,000. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
