Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD intends to award multiple BLANKET PURCHASE AGREEMENTS that are advantageous to the U.S. Government, on a firm-fixed-price contract for a Crankshaft/Camshaft Inspection and Repair. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 336350 with a small business size standard of 750 Employees. This requirement is a total SMALL BUSINESS set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit quotes. JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCHORD requests quotes for an 8 Month BLANKET PURCHASE AGREEMENT. Contractors must be located within a 100-mile radius of JBLM, WA. The selection of resulting from will be made on the basis of the lowest priced and technically acceptable from multiple quoters with acceptable or neutral past performance. Technical Acceptability constitutes: the items offered by the vendor meet the conditions of the Performance Work Statement included in the solicitation, and the full description and specifications of the quote mark equal quote mark items the vendor is offering are equivalent to or exceed the specifications included in the solicitation. All CLINs shall be quoted FOB Destination to Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA 98433. The Contractor shall propose the following Contract Line ItemNumbers (CLINS): Note: Contractor shall read and comply with the Performance Work Statement when providing quotes on Crankshaft/Camshaft Inspection and Repair. CLIN 0001 Description: Crankshaft Inspection Qty: 234 Each Extended Description: Inspect crankshaft for cracks (to include Magnuflux), scratches and nicks. Inspect main bearing journals and connecting rod journals for taper, out of round, and diameter. Inspect real seal are for roughness, scoring, grooving, flaking, pitting, and galling. Inspect threaded hole in crankshaft for damage. If not serviceable, label as not serviceable and return without repair. Cost per Crankshaft Inspection $ ___________ Total cost $ ____________ CLIN 0002 Description: Camshaft Inspection Qty: 234 Each Extended Description: Inspect camshaft bearing journals and lobes for damage. Measure the diameter of bearing journals using outside micrometer. Measure each cam lobe lift.. If not serviceable, label as not serviceable and return without repair. Cost per Camshaft Inspection $ ___________ Total cost $ ____________ CLIN 0003 Description: Crankshaft Repair Qty: 234 Each Extended Description: Repair crankshaft if scratched or nicked. Repair crankshaft bearing journals if tapered, out of round, or out of specification. Repair crankshaft threaded holes with a thread chaser. Machined crankshafts will be polished, sprayed lightly with 15/40 weight motor oil, placed in a plastic bag and labeled as serviceable. Repairs will be done to NMWR standards. Cost per Crankshaft Repair $ ___________ Total cost $ ____________ CLIN 0004 Description: Camshaft Repair Qty: 234 Each Extended Description Repair camshaft if scratched or nicked. Repair camshaft bearing journals. Repair cam lobe. Machined camshafts will be polished, sprayed lightly with 15/40 weight motor oil, placed in a cardboard box and labeled as serviceable. Repairs will be done to NMWR standards. Cost per Camshaft Repair $ ___________ Total cost $ ____________ CLIN 0005 Description: CONTRACT MANPOWER REPORT (CMR) Qty: 1 Each Extended Description: The Contractor shall report all Contractor labor hours (including subcontractor labor hours) required for performance of services provided under this contract for Department of the Army via a secure data collection site. The Contractor is required to complete all required data fields using the following web address: http://www.ecmra.mil/, then click on quote mark Department of the Army CMRA quote mark or the icon of the DoD organization that is receiving or benefitting from the contracted services. Reporting requirements take approximately two hours of time for one employee to complete and are generally calculated using an accepted hourly wage for an administrative assistant.
