This is not a request for bids, quotes or proposals. This is a Sources Sought notice for the identification of potential vendors to provide Fresh Bread and Bakery Products; i.e. such as but not limited to: White enriched and Whole Wheat Bread - sliced loaves; White enriched Sandwich (Hamburger) bread; White enriched Hot Dog buns; Parker house rolls and Steak rolls, bulk and individually wrapped with a tentative delivery schedule of 5 days per week to the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, Little AR and the Eugene J. Towbin Healthcare Center, North Little Rock, AR. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their business size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), Small, Small Disadvantaged, Small Veteran Owned, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) relative to NAICS 311812 (size standard of 500 employees or less). This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All information submitted in response to this Sources Sought notice become property of the Government. Interested and capable respondents are requested to provide the information below. All responses to this notice shall include: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, DUNS number, list of available products, the geographical location the respondent is able to service and a list of the respondent's establishment's certifications from private, State and or local agencies documenting the safety and sanitary conditions and procedures. Responses to this notice should be emailed to Tammie Chaney, Contracting Officer at e-mail address: tammie.chaney@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Please DO NOT respond in the 'interested vendor' tab as the Contracting Officer does not have access and responses there will not be seen. Responses must be received in writing no later than 1:00PMCST, 22 January 2015. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. All contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses should also indicate whether the company is verified by the VA in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database at www.vetbiz.gov.
