- Product Manager Soldier Precision Targeting Devices (PM SPTD), located at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, is conducting market research to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of business sources to support producing a Lightweight Targeting Tripod. The subject requirement is to provide a lightweight tripod, as described in the accompanying performance specification. The lightweight tripod must be man portable and capable of supporting and stabilizing a single 5.5 pound hand held targeting device in all U.S. Army non-combat and combat environments. Interested parties with the capabilities to satisfy the specified parameters in this Sources Sought Notice and accompanying performance specification document are encouraged to submit a capabilities document, not to exceed 30 pages, describing their tripod concept including technical performance characteristics, ability to meet the parameters in the Lightweight Targeting Tripod specification document, and average tripod production price, assuming production of up to thirteen-thousand and twelve (13,012) over a (12) twelve month period.
