- MARKET RESEARCH FOR SMALL BUSINESS FIRMS DUE BY 2:00 PM (EST) ON JANUARY 16,2015 Training Room Conversion, Hodgdon Border Patrol Sector Headquarters, 96 Calais Road, Hodgdon, ME 04730 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. No solicitation or specifications are available at this time. When and if a solicitation is issued, it will be issued under a different solicitation number at a later time. The General Services Administration (GSA) New England is seeking HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO), 8(a), and all other Small Businesses capable of General Construction capabilities to perform the requirement as follows: Renovate approximately 2,000 Square Feet of a single story structure from an indoor previously used as a small arms indoor shooting range The existing space has an existing Tectum ceiling/roof deck on steel framing and masonry walls. The space will be converted into a training office, a small gym, an open conference room style training area and a general storage area. The work includes all demolition and roofing as required to remove the existing shooting range equipment. Perform all required carpentry work as required to install gypsum board, steel stud walls, doors, suspended ceilings, carpet, VTC flooring interior and exterior doors, windows. Perform all masonry work as required to install new windows and modify doors locations and patch holes. Perform all electrical as required for HVAC, receptacles, LAN and phone. Perform all mechanical as required for heat, ventilation and mini split air conditioning. The space contains the shooting range equipment. The space was cleaned and exhaust ducts coated with encapsulant in 2009, and has not been used as a range since that cleaning. The cleaning was not a full abatement, so it is expected that some level of lead dust remains throughout the space, particularly in inaccessible areas of the room and equipment Replace approximately 12000 square feet of EPDM roofing with TPO. Interested firms should provide sufficient information to allow an informed evaluation and decision to ascertain if there is enough competition to solicit this requirement as either an SDVO or HUBZone or 8(a) Small Business Set-aside. All interested Small Business firms should respond to this notice.The estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code for this service is 236220. The Small Business Size standard is $36.5 MILLION. Please respond via email to the following questions by 2:00PM on January 16, 2015. Failure to answer any of these questions may result in your firm not being considered as part of this market research. 1. Identify past experience which demonstrates that your firm is qualified to perform this type of work. 2. If this procurement is set aside, will your firm submit an offer? 3. Submitted documentation will be utilized solely for the purpose of determining the potential capabilities of the respondent firms. This Sources Sought notice is for the purpose of determining the availability of small business contractors and not a request for competitive proposals.
