Description

This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice Only. This is not a request for proposal. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for establishment of an infectious medical waste removal program in accordance with (IAW) all applicable EPA, IDEM, DOT, OSHA and any other state and federal guidelines for medical waste. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Richard L Roudebush RLRVAMC, Indianapolis IN. is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Businesses, or 8(a) firms capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside. The proposed solicitation is for establishment of a general waste and recycles pick-up service. Contractor shall provide all material, labor, transportation, equipment, service compactor(s) and supervision for waste collection and disposal. Contractor shall furnish two (2) new stationary compactors with lock installation with steel shroud over compactors meeting the following specifications. Contractor shall provide all material, labor transportation, equipment, service compactor(s) and supervision for recycling of aluminum, glass, plastic, and cardboard. Contractor shall provide maintenance and repair except where damage may result from negligence on the part of the Government. The Contractor shall provide one (1) new stationary compactor, lock installation to be located next to the Warehouse (exact placement to be determined) at 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202 for cardboard recycling. IAW applicable guidelines as stated above. Estimated solicitation date is on or around February 27, 2015 with an estimated award date of April 01, 2015. The intended contract base period is anticipated to be 1 base year with four 1-year options, depending on Market Research.
