Description
RFI-15-010915 Request for Information on Securing the Cities Program Radiological Nuclear Detection Training Courses THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. This RFI does not constitute a solicitation, a promise to issue a solicitation, or a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for a supply or service. The Government is not seeking a proposal at this time. Interested vendors that respond to this RFI are advised that the Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI are solely at the interested vendor's expense. Choosing not to respond to this RFI does not preclude an interested vendor's participation in any future solicitation. Responses to this RFI will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation or BAA. If a solicitation is released, it will be released through the Government-wide Port of Entry (GPE) at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). It is the responsibility of the interested vendor to monitor the GPE for any information that may pertain to this RFI. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change, and is not binding on the Government. All submissions to this RFI become the property of the Government, and will not be returned. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) is interested in the development, administration, and training of Securing the Cities (STC) Program stakeholders. DNDO is seeking to develop new training courses and materials for the STC Program that also leverages and incorporates DNDO-approved training materials. The training courses and materials are intended to ensure that State, local and tribal agency personnel are appropriately trained, equipped, and proficient in the use of radiological nuclear (R/N) detection equipment. The training courses and materials must use the existing training support process that the STC Program utilizes. This includes the tracking of training deliveries, student attendance, and drills/exercises. Please see the enclosed document for additional information regarding this RFI, and instructions regarding the requirements for responding to this RFI.
