Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their business size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage, Small Veteran Owned Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) relative to NAICS Code: 622210- Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Hospitals (Size Standard of $38.5 Million). Responses to this synopsis will be utilized by the Government to determine that appropriate procurement methodology. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published to the general public on the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall not be considered as a response to a solicitation. All interested offerors will respond as an interested party to this sources sought. Bidders are to provide adult psychiatric services at their location for patients referred by the VAMC-Atlanta. Services should be within 35 miles of the VA Hospital, 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033. This contract is intended to be a referral contract for short-term mental health inpatient services; psychoses, alcohol and drug abuse, neuroses, depression, organic disturbances, and mental impairment. Requirements will vary as the renovation at the hospital is completed and additional capacity is returned to the VA hospital. If interested and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information: (1) Is your business small? (2) If small, does your company qualify as a small emerging business, or small disadvantage business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your company is certified under Section 8(a0 of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your company a certified, HUBZone company? (5) Is your company a woman-woman-owned business? (6) Is your company a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned? (7) Is your company a Veteran Owned Small Business? Small business concerns that are considering participation in this potential solicitation process under any Small Business Set-aside shall do so in accordance with the Small Business Act. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to the attention of: clifton.weldon2@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on February 12, 2015. This notice is to assist in determining the availability of capable sources via the commercial industry only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond that solicitation announcement separately from the response to this announcement.
