Description

**Information Only** - The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office, NCO17 (10N17/90C), anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price contract for construction services to Refurbish existing 2A-2B Isolation Fans located at the Audie L. Murphy, Veteran Administration Medical Center, 7400 Merton Minter, San Antonio Texas. The entire Project is to be completed within 245 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). REQUIREMENT: Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tooling, and supervision to perform the necessary construction services to refurbish the existing 2A-2B Isolation Rooms Exhaust System in order to comply with new mandates concerning the individual operation of each isolation exhaust systems, in accordance with provided specifications and drawings. The existing isolation room exhaust system must be constructed to provide separate exhaust fans and ducting for each of the six (6) isolation patient rooms located in 2A-2B Area, to include installation of roof-top fan equipment. All project work shall include but is not exclusively limited to general construction, demolition, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, asbestos abatement, and certain other items. The work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications and drawings issued under the terms and conditions of the contract. Contraction shall comply with applicable VA specifications and drawings as well as all applicable city, county, state, and federal regulations and codes and OSHA standards that may impact this requirement. Additionally, they shall comply with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Standards Class and other construction safety requirements as noted in the construction documents. The method of procurement shall be a Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with Parts 14 and 36 of the FAR, with anticipated issue date is approximately February 12, 2015 with proposed due date of approximately March 11, 2015. This requirement is a competitive offer, Set Aside 100% for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB), under Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127).
