- Redacted Sole Source NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra-Nevada Regional Office (SNR), intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), to Subnet Solutions Inc. #100, 4639 MANHATTAN ROAD S.E., Calgary, CAN T2G 4B3 The proposed contractor developed the software. The software is proprietary. Support and updates for this application can only be supported by this contractor. This software support is required for use by the Sierra Nevada Region currently. The cost to purchase a new system including installation, support and training would easily outweigh the cost of renewing the current software. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, all interest and capability statements must be received by the Government no later than 01/21/2013, at 6:00 PM PST to be considered. Only Subnet Solutions, Inc. has the unique, proprietary knowledge of the support needed by WAPA. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 511210 with a size standard of $35.5 mil.
