- This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE is for Market Research Purposes ONLY - No award will be made from this notice. However, this research will assist the Government in determining the availability of LOCAL (defined as physically located in Northern California) small business firms for a potential small business category type set- aside. A draft copy of the Statement of Work, dated 12 January 2015, is attached to this notice under the quote mark Additional Documentation quote mark Link. Potential offerors having the skill and capabilities necessary to perform the described project are invited to provide a Capabilities Statement via email to Dennis.C.Tremethick@usace.army.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Interested small businesses may identify their interest and provide a Capability Statement as outlined below. Respond to the requirement by January 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM (PST) (1500 hours). The Government will not pay for any costs associated with information submitted and responses to this notice. CAPABILITY STATEMENT The following requests are designed to apprise the US Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, of the execution capabilities of prospective contractors. Please provide your response to the following: 1) Offeror's names, address, point of contact, phone number, DUNS, CAGE CODE, and e-mail address. 1a) Statement of Understanding that the awarded vendor must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) website at www.sam.gov. 2) Distance from Ukiah, California. 3) Offeror's capability to execute this contract shall provide: a sample of a contract of this magnitude and complexity with demonstrated comparable scope, performed within the past 5 years - brief description of the project, customer name, timeliness of performance, customer satisfaction, dollar value of the project, location of service, and date of completion. 3a) Please provide at least two (2) example projects. 4) Offeror's type of small business and Business Size (e.g., 8a, woman-owned, HUBzone, SDVOSB, etc.). Your response is limited to three single-sided pages total - using 12 pt font. Please label your email response as follows: Subject: Response to W912P7-15-R-0002: Sources Sought market research for Lake Mendocino Grounds Maint (Mowing) Service, Ukiah, California. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the Capabilities statement. Submission of Capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Corps of Engineers in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Specifically, the purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential LOCAL, small business (SB) sources in the following categories: Small Business, Certified 8a, Certified HUB Zone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), to provide the services outlined below: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco District is seeking sources to support on the items listed below for which the applicable NAICS code is 561730, Grounds Maintenance (Mowing) Service on Lake Mendocino (Ukiah), CA). The Federal Supply Code (FSC) will be S208. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) used is 0782. The size standard for small business is $7,500,000.00. A Request for Proposal published on the Federal, Business Opportunity website will follow the Sources Sought in late January 2015. The resulting, base plus four(4) option year, contract is to provide contract work force and equipment required to perform specified services at Lake Mendocino. Contractor's work and responsibility shall include, but not be limited to, all job planning, programming, scheduling, administration, inspection and management necessary to accomplish specified services. Contractor shall assure that all work is accomplished in accordance with the Statement of Work, the contract, all applicable laws, municipal codes, regulations, and written directives issued by the Contracting Officer. All responses will be analyzed in order to determine the appropriate strategy for a potential future acquisition. Particularly, the purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential small business sources including certified HUBZone small business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned small business, Veteran-Owned small business, Certified 8(a) small business, Women-Owned small business, etc. Other than Small Business may respond to this notice in the event the market does not indicate significant Small Business interest. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to perform Grounds Maintenance (Mowing) of designated areas within the lands administered by the Park Manager of Lake Mendocino/Coyote Dam.
