- McNary Turbine Storage Building Sources Sought Notice: W912EF-15-R-SS20 The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking small business sources for a construction project tited: McNary Turbine Storage Building. The work is located at the McNary Lock and Dam in Umatilla County, Oregon. This will be a firm-fixed-price construction contract. Construction magnitude is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 and the associated small business size standard is no more than $36,500,000 in average annual receipts. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish the work. This is not a solicitation. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. 1) A list of current or past projects demonstrating technical experience with work of a similar nature to that listed in the Summary Scope of Work. For each project submitted, provide a brief narrative statement of the work involved, your firm's role in the project, the dollar value and the completion date. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel. 2) A reference list for each of the projects submitted in 1) above. Include the name, title, phone number and email address for each reference. 3) A statement of your firm's business size (Small business, HUBZone small business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, or woman-owned small business) with regard to the NAICS code listed above. 4) A statement that your firm intends to submit an offer on the project when it is advertised. 5) A statement of your firm's bonding capacity. A statement from your surety is NOT required. 6) Your firm's Cage Code and DUNS number. Submit this information to Connie Cochran, Contract Specialist, via email to yi.cochran@usace.army.mil. Your response to this notice must be received on or before 10:00 AM on Monday, 26 January, 2015. Summary of Scope of Work: General requirements are to construct a 160 foot x 100 foot pre-engineered metal building, including two (2) 60 foot x 100 foot concrete aprons (East and West sides of the building). The pre-engineered metal building system shall be provided by a single manufacturer and shall include all components and assemblies that form a complete building. The building shall have structural steel main building frames, and secondary framing including purlins and girts, engineered and fabricated by the building systems supplier. The building shall have vertical steel walls and a gable roof system including gutters and downspouts. The building shall consist of single-span structure with rigid frames in the transverse direction and rigid frames or braced frames in the longitudinal direction. Excavate for the placement of the building's foundation and final ground elevations for gravel placement around the building. Provide a storm water infiltration pond. The building shall have four (4) exterior personnel doors, four (4) roll up sectional overhead doors, louvers and fans (for circulating air flow) shall be included with the metal building system. The building shall have minimal heating to prevent freeze thaw cycles issues. Exterior lighting by the personnel doors, interior lighting, electrical power outlets both interior & exterior and protective bollards shall also be provided. Provide power to the building's interior electrical panels.
