- The AFTC Installation Contracting Division/PZIOA, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for a Microtome. This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 11.104(b) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) FM282343360267. This acquisition is for brand name or equal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339113, with a business size standard of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. In accordance with the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(a)(2) offerors are notified that the award will be made to the offer that provides the best value to the government after consideration of technical, price, and delivery aspects of the offer. This requirement is for: CLIN QTY MODEL NO. DESCRIPTION 0001 1 355S Microtome HM 355 S Package (electronic, motorized rotary microtome with selectable retraction; with clamp and ER blade carrier) 0002 1 HM325A HM325A Microtome package (manual rotary; with clamp and blade carrier) 0003 2 FB Float Bath Flotation Bath In accordance with FAR 52.212-1(b)(4), offerors are reminded that as a minimum, offers must show a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. This may include product literature, or other documents, if necessary. Additionally, FAR provision 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal applies to this RFQ and offerors are to clearly indicate if they are offering an "equal" product in their quotation. Quoted price should include FOB Destination and be valid for 90 days. Required delivery date is no later than 30 days ARO. Expedited delivery schedules accepted and encouraged. The primary Brand Name or Equal Microtome to be acquired is the Microtome HM355S and the HM325 Microtome. The salient characteristics of the Microtome HM355S are: • Features that prevent or virtually eliminate accidental starts.
