Description

Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst NJ intends to procure the following Brand name (A.G. Davis) specific item; (1) each 12" Manual Ultradex Mark III Style "B" Index Table P/N-Model No. R-11562-18, 1440 Indez-1/4 Arc Second Band Accuracy, W/Horizontal & Vertical Mounting capabilities. This purchase is a request by NAVAIR METCAL program as Calibration Standard inventory replacement equipment.The Government intends to procure the above item under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This acquisition will be a Sole Source procurement thru AG Davis Gage & Engineering Co. AG Davis is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and owns the proprietary rights to the R11562-18, Rotary Index table, and they are not available to the Navy. The NAVAIR METCAL Engineering Program has certified and approved the AG Davis model as the required calibration equipment for use in more than 7 Instrument Calibration Procedures with no substitutes allowed. Logistics support for the required equipment has previously been established and paid for by the government. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition base upon the responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Navy.
