Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 9, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Biomerieux Vitek Inc, 595 Anglum Dr. Hazelwood, MO 63042 for an annual preventive maintenance, providing labor, materials, travel and monthly preventative maintenance inspections for BIOMERIEUX VITEK equipment. The Vitek 2XL, Bact/Alert system and Vidas clinical analyzer are located at the Louisville VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY. BIOMERIEUX is the proprietary vendor and sole distributor of the above mentioned equipment. Only engineers trained and certified by BIOMERIEUX are authorized to service equipment Vitek 2XL, Bact/Alert system and Vidas clinical analyzer. This notice is informational only and is neither a request for quote nor a solicitation of proposals. Responses received may be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must be detailed information and must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates an ability to meet the agency's needs.
