- SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL BUT INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! It does not constitute a solicitation and/or quote and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is FA2521-15-Q-B014 shall be used to reference any written responses to this sources sought. Patrick Air Force Base anticipates a requirement that is being considered under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed 325211. The size standard for NAICS is 750 employees. The requirement is to provide resin beads that are used for the chemical seperation of radioactive material. The requirement also includes items used during the seperation process. Salient Characteristics: All items listed below are from Eichrom Technologies LLC. a. Pre-Filter Material. PF-B100-A, 100-150µ, 100 gram bottle. Pre-filter Material is an uncoated, inert polymeric support and can be used to remove trace amounts of organic compounds from aqueous solutions. b. Pre-Filter Material. PF-R50-A, 100-150µ, cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Same as item a, but pre-packaged in 2mL cartridges. c. Actinide Resin. AC-B100-A, 100-150µ, 100 gram bottle. Actinide Resin is based on the DIPEX® Extractant ( P,P'-di(2-ethylhexyl)methanediphosphonic acid) The resin exhibits an extraordinarily high affinity for the actinide elements. d. Actinide Resin. AC-C50-A, 100-150µ, cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Same as above, but pre-packaged in 2mL cartridges. e. Beryllium Resin. BE-R50-S, 50-100µ, cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Used to remove spectrally interfering elements before ICP-AES analysis is performed. f. DGA Resin, DN-B01-S, Normal. 50-100µ, 10 gram bottle. DGA Normal Resins are extraction chromatographic materials in which the extractant system is N,N,N',N'-tetra-n-octyldiglycolamide (DGA Resin, Normal). The properties of the DGA Resins allow for the selective separation of Am(III) without fear of breakthrough due to weak retention. g. DGA Resin, Normal. DN-R50-S, 50-100µ,. cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Same as above, but pre-packaged in 2mL cartridges. h. DGA Resin, Branched. DB-B01-S, 50-100µ, 10 gram bottle. DGA Branched Resins are extraction chromatographic materials in which the extractant system is N,N,N',N'-tetrakis-2-éthylhexyldiglycolamide (DGA Resin, Branched). The properties of the DGA Resins allow for the selective separation of Am(III) without fear of breakthrough due to weak retention. i. DGA Resin, Branched. DB-R50-S, 50-100µ, cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Same as above, but pre-packaged in 2mL cartridges. j. TEVA Resin. TE-B100-S, 50-100µ, 100 gram bottle. The active component of the TEVA Resin is an aliphatic quaternary amine ( Trialkyl, methylammonium nitrate ( or chloride)). k. TEVA Resin. TE-R50-S, 50-100µ, cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Same as above, but pre-packaged in 2mL cartridges. l. TRU Resin. TR-B100-S, 50-100µ, 100 gram bottle. TRU Resin is an extraction chromatographic material in which the extractant system is octylphenyl-N,N-di-isobutyl carbamoylphosphine oxide (abbreviated CMPO) dissolved in tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP). m. TRU Resin. TR-R50-S, 50-100µ, cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Same as above, but pre-packaged in 2mL cartridges. n. UTEVA Resin. UT-B100-S, 50-100µ, 100 gram bottle. The extractant in the UTEVA Resin, diamyl, amylphosphonate (DAAP), forms nitrato complexes with the actinide elements. o. UTEVA Resin. UT-R50-S, 50-100µ, cartridge (2ml), package of 50. Same as above, but pre-packaged in 2mL cartridges. p. 12 Hole Vacuum Box with rack. AC-12-BOX, 12 hole vacuum box has a high density polyethylene (HDPE) top for acid compatibility and a clear plastic bottom for visibility of collection tubes. Overall dimensions are 32 cm (long) x 14.5 cm (deep) x 18 cm (high.) The box comes complete with a screw in vacuum gauge, a rack insert which holds twenty-four 50cc centrifuge tubes, a starter package of yellow outer and white inner tips along with manifold plugs for sealing off unused holes. q. 15 Hole Column rack. AC-103, This clear acrylic column rack measures 24 cm (long) x 11.5 cm (wide) x 16 cm (high). The 15 holes are arranged so that the columns can drip directly into 50cc centrifuge tubes placed in their original polystyrene packaging. r. Inner support tube, 1 inch PE (bag of 1000). AC-1000-TUBE-PE, These disposable tubes and tips are used to connect the cartridge(s) used to the vacuum box. s. Yellow outer tips, (package of 1000). AC-1000-OT, These disposable tubes and tips are used to connect the cartridge(s) used to the vacuum box. t. 10ml Cartridge reservoir, package of 25. AC-25-RV10-F, Similar to syringe barrels, these reservoirs attach to the top of Eichrom's pre-packed cartridges with a Luer-Lock mechanism. Graduations allow for easier monitoring of flow rates when using the vacuum box. u. 20ml Cartridge reservoir, package of 25. AC-25-RV20-F, Similar to syringe barrels, these reservoirs attach to the top of Eichrom's pre-packed cartridges with a Luer-Lock mechanism. Graduations allow for easier monitoring of flow rates when using the vacuum box. v. 2ml Empty column, package of 100. AC-141-AL, The same columns used for our standard 2mL pre-packed columns, these polypropylene columns have an inner diameter of 0.8cm and a snap off tip. Use when a slightly different sized column is required for the analysis. w. Column connectors, package of 100. AC-121, The Column connectors are the piece that connects the reservoir to the column. x. Column tip closures, package of 100. AC-130, These flexible, plastic sleeves fit on the bottom of an opened column to prevent complete drying out of the bed when the column needs to be used a second time in a procedure. The resin beads and associated items are used for the chemical seperation of radioactive material. 45 CONS is interested in any size business that is capable of meeting this requirement. The government is also interested in all small businesses including (8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), or, if applicable based on NAICS code, Economically disadvantaged women-owned small busines (EDWOSB) Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) that are interested in performing this requirement. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or SDVOSB, WOSB, EDWOSB, or small business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision." As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments. The Government's evaluation of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), SDB, WOSB, VOSB, etc.). All interested firms shall submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates company capabilities-indicating examples of commercial sales-and product specifications related to this effort. Also indicate if you are the manufacturer, or provide the name and size of the manufacturer of the product(s) you will be supplying. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a Foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated us of foreign national employees on this effort. Include in your capabilities package your DUNS, Cage Code, and System for Award Management expiration date.
