- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A request for quote (RFQ) is attached to this announcement. Purchase of Mooring Buoys, Quantity is 25 Each with 5 Options, 5 each option. This item includes: The mooring buoys shall be adequate to moor barges and transport vessels at the Brazos River Flood Gates east and west mooring basins. Buoys shall be compatible with the mooring device and shall have the following minimum dimensions: 10-feet in diameter; 5-feet tall buoy hull height, exclusive of mooring device. Provide the weight of the complete buoy for reference only. Mooring device and chain loads shall be transmitted axially through the center of the buoy. The pull-through working load applies to the entire tension system including the mooring device. See product description for additional information. FOB Destination to be delivered to Brazos River Flood Gates, 4335 East Flood Gate Road, Freeport, Texas 77542; includes off-loading of buoys at the yard. All work for the base award shall be completed within 120 days from the Notice to Proceed. Options may be exercised any time prior to contract end. Delivery for an exercised option shall be 120 days after notice to proceed. A Telephonic Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 27 Jan 2015, 1:30 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST).
