Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), the Department of Veterans Affairs at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, Florida announces the intent to negotiate and award a single source procurement to Atrium Hotels, L.P. Embassy Suites Tampa Hotel; for temporary lodging and specialized ADA patient transportation. The government cites FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as the Statutory Authority for this follow-on contract award. The hotel proximity to the hospital, room grouping location and mandatory patient ADA transportation requirements deem this the only responsible source that can satisfy the agency requirements. The period of performance is 6 months. During this 6 month period of performance, it is the Governments intent to synopsize and compete this contract action on the Fedbizopps vendor portal. A pre-solicitation notice will be posted for full and open competition at a later date. Other interested vendors may provide a capability statement. This information will be used solely for the purpose of identifying additional sources for a future contract action. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
