Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: The United States Air Force, 375th Contracting Squadron (375 CONS) is seeking sources for a Compact Boom Crawler lift. DISCLAIMER: This sources sought notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this sources sought notice. The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this sources sought notice. INTRODUCTION: This FedBizOpps notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the equipment as described herein. 375 CONS is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this sources sought notice will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Should a future requirement(s) evolve from this preliminary planning process, it is anticipated that the contractor will provide the equipment required to accomplish all capabilities listed in the description of requirements shown below. The contractor will provide one (1) Compact Boom Crawler lift. •1. Description of Item: •a. Contractor shall provide a Compact Boom Crawler by Brand Name or Equal to JLG X550AJ specifications. With these salient specifications: Power source: electric/battery Articulating 55' boom lift Outriggers or stabilizers •360 degree swing Platform Capacity: 440 lb. Machine Height: 6 feet 6 inches Machine Length: 14 feet 8 inches Machine Width: 2 feet 7 inches Track Length: 4 feet 1 inch Horizontal Outreach: 21 feet Platform Height: 55 feet Vertical Jib Rotation: 83 degrees •b. JLG Company's model X550AJ is a unique boom lift. The compact design increases the ease of transporting on a trailer. The enhanced maneuverability and size will allow accessibility to get into buildings which is extremely vital. This unit has a low floor load for being in an office building. The electric/battery power combination is environmentally friendly and efficient. •c. The piece of equipment will be delivered to 375 Scott AFB 62225. •2. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code: The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is: •- 333120: Construction Machinery Manufacturing •3. Does company manufacture this product? •d. Demonstrate abilities to fulfill this requirement and any other information deemed useful to the Air Force. •4. If your company is capable of meeting the requirements listed above, please provide a response in accordance with the submission details listed in Para 3 above no later than 4:00 PM CST, 28 January 2015 to Mr. Randy Wroten randy.wroten.1@us.af.mil •5. Proprietary information and trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All Government and contractor personnel reviewing sources sought responses will have signed non-disclosure agreements and understand their responsibility for proper use and protection from authorized disclosure of proprietary information as described 41 USC 423. The Government shall not be held liable for any damages incurred if proprietary information is not properly identified.
