Description
Registration Form On January 26, 2015 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, the Department of Justice Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will be hosting an Industry Day for Small Business 8(a) Firms; however, the session is open to all businesses. The SB Industry Day will be held at the Department of Justice, 145 N Street, NE, Room 1W.1201, Washington, DC 20530. To register, please return the completed registration form (attached to this announcement) by email ONLY to SBCCU@ic.fbi.gov no later than close of business (4:30 pm EST) January 22, 2015. DO NOT EDIT THE REGISTRATION FORM. Pre-registration is required (you will not be allowed into the conference if you are not registered). Only two (2) representatives per company will be allowed to attend. No substitutions after the closing date. Space is limited to 60 attendees. Due to security regulations, you must arrive 30 minutes in advance for check in and to be escorted to the conference room. You must bring government issued photo identification. Escorts will not be available after 1:30 p.m. The Industry Day is intended to provide businesses information about upcoming FBI procurements. ONLY the opportunities listed below will be presented. Presentations will be made by representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. INDUSTRY DAY OPPORTUNITY - SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT SERVICES The Mission Support Contracts Unit (MSCU) intends to solicit a requirement for Subject Matter Expert (SME) personnel to support the FBI’s mission in various areas. MSCU is seeking capable Small Businesses, specifically 8a companies, which can recruit, retain, and replace SME’s on an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle to attend industry day. The FBI is seeking SME’s in the following areas of expertise. These identified SME areas are not all-inclusive but provide an indication of the scope of work and capabilities required. · Expertise in prison gangs, corrections, intelligence collection, and/or law enforcement investigations · Expertise with Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), explosives and explosives precursors, chemical warfare agents, or toxic industrial chemicals; Understanding Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures · Expertise in science relevant to intelligence interviewing and US government intelligence interviewing history, policies and procedures · Expertise in counterintelligence and counterterrorism operations and specialized experience in carrying out research to develop theories about learning, motivation, and other aspects of behavior · Expertise in the identification of compliance risk areas · Expertise in the exploitation of communications technology in criminal investigations at the state and local levels · Expertise in evaluating critical assets to determine security and risk concerns and evaluating intelligence and data related to insider threats · Expertise in counterintelligence investigations of the foreign intelligence activities · Expertise in counterintelligence investigations specific to East Asia · Expertise in Insider Threat capabilities This requirement was originally awarded in 2010. To date, the value of task orders awarded under this IDIQ is over $70 million. The contractor is expected to be able to recruit, retain, and replace SME’s with Top Secret clearances and the requisite intelligence or specialized expertise within a short time frame.
