- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY (UPS) SYSTEMS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to post additional Questions and Answers. Question No. 1: Is there an existing battery monitoring system that will need to disconnected/reconnected with this battery replacement? Answer to Question No. 1: Yes, the existing battery monitoring system (Alber BDS-40) will need to be disconnected and reconnected for this battery replacement task. Question No. 2: Can you please provide the model and serial number of the UPS and battery cabinets for this solicitation? Answer to Question No. 2: UPS: Liebert - Model Number U39CC2804AT689, Serial Number D08A630001 Battery Cabinet: Liebert - Model Number U36BP225WJBNUUU, Serial Number 3T00002132 Question No. 3: Can you accept shipment directly from the manufacturer to keep our costs down or do we need to bring the batteries with us at the time of installation? Answer to Question No. 3: All material required for installation can be shipped directly to the customer, however delivery and installation plans must be in parallel to ensure installation work requirements are performed within the same time period. Question No. 4: What is the make, model, and kVA of the UPS? Answer to Question No. 4: Liebert 610, 225kVA Question No. 5: Can we offer a comparable brand battery versus the Enersys brand currently installed? Answer to Question No. 5: No, because current system is under warranty, consequently to alleviate any legal concerns we desire exact replacement. Question No. 6: Would it be possible to arrange a site visit? Answer to Question No. 6: Our goal is to work this requirement in the most efficient method;therefore a site visit is not desirable. The specifications are at the detail level required for this solicitation. Question No. 7: What is the make and model of the UPS and battery cabinets? Answer to Question No. 7: Liebert 610 225kVA. See Question 4. Question No. 8: Can you provide pictures of each? Preferably the battery cabinets with doors open, so as to get an idea what it will take to perform the job correctly. Answer to Question No. 9: The system consist of the following: One (1) UPS, two (2) strings, and four (4) cabinets. Question No. 10: How many strings are there total? Answer to Question No. 10: Two (2) strings. Please see question 9. Question No. 11: What type of equipment are they being installed into? Answer to Question No. 11: Battery Cabinet: Liebert, Model Number U36BP225WJBNUUU, Serial Number 3T00002132 Question No. 12: If it is a UPS, can we get make and model number? Answer to Question No. 12: Support Equipment: UPS: Liebert- Model Number U39CC2804AT689, Serial Number D08A630001 Question No. 13: What is involved in testing and verification? Is this just for the batteries or the equipment we are installing them into? Answer to Question No. 13: Testing and verification processes to be provided by supplier. Processes should pertain to all associated systems. Question No. 14: Can a pallet jack be used inside the facility to move the batteries from the dock to the installation locations? Answer to Question No. 14: Yes, pallet jack are available via supplier or can be supplied by customer. Question No. 15: Are there any other specs available? Answer to Question No. 15: No Question No. 16: Confirm the RFP is to supply and install the new batteries and remove the old. Answer to Question No. 16: Correct, the RFP is to supply, install, and remove old batteries. Question No. 17: Is this Full and Open under NAICS Code 238210? Answer to Question No. 17: Yes this is full and open under NAICS Code 238210. Question No. 18: Are there any security clearances required for this installation? Answer to Question No. 18: No Question No. 19: Are there any drawings or layout of the building/rooms? Answer to Question No. 19: Yes, drawings and/or layout of the building will be made available for selected supplier. Question No. 20: Will NASA provide the batteries and we would just quote for the removal, replacement and integration of compatible batteries to the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) System installation. Answer to Question No. 20: NASA will not provide replacement batteries. The RFP is to supply, install, and remove old batteries. Question No. 21: Provide the manufacturer name and model of the existing UPS needing replacement batteries. Answer to Question No. 21: Liebert- Model Number U39CC2804AT689, Serial Number D08A630001. See Question 12. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on December 18, 2014.
