- Description
- The Air Traffic Systems (AFLCMC/HBAG) program requires AEEC membership into this non-federal organization, which creates commercail avionics standards. The mission of the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) is to acquire and implement airborne, space and ground-based Communications, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS)/Air Traffic Management (ATM) solutions for safe and efficient flight operations. ATS involvement in the AEEC and the creation of the commercial avionics standards helps the Program Office to better fulfill its mission. This Sole Source contract with SAE Industry Technologies Consortia, SAE ITC dba ARINC IA, provides the following benefits: •· Recognition at AEEC-AMC-FSEMC meetings and our website. •· Voting rights to elect members of the Executive and Steering Committee. •· Eligibility to be voted to a seat on the Executive and Steering Committee. •· Influence the direction of focus of the works done throughout the year. •· Ability to download SAE ITC dba ARINC IA Standards from the website at no additional charge. Approximately 411 standards valued at over $65,000. •· Ability to download other Industry Activities published information (i.e. meeting and conference reports, draft documents, technical application bulletins, previous issues of Plane Talk and AeroLine, etc.) at no additional charge. Currently over 737 documents collectively valued at over $78,000 and growing. Leaders from the Avionic Industry meet once a year to discuss ways to improve cost effectiveness, increase productivity, and reduce life-cycle for airlines. This conference is held yearly at various locations around the world. This year the conference will be in Prague, Czech Republic on April 27-30, 2015.
