Description
The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE) is seeking to enter into a new multiple-award indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract for Technical Assistance for Implementing Career and Technical Education (CTE). This contract shall provide support to OCTAE across a range of tasks related to the expansion of comprehensive career pathways systems, including the following key issues of interest to the Department: • Professional and leadership development for CTE state leaders and other stakeholders • Development, dissemination, and implementation of innovative web-based and print tools and solutions • Technical assistance to support successful implementation of the Perkins Act • Increased knowledge of industry-relevant certifications and technical skills assessments • Increased alignment of secondary and postsecondary educational systems using strategies such as dual credit, concurrent enrollment, stackable credentials, apprenticeship, and articulation agreements. The Department intends to award more than one fixed price contract to execute this requirement. The Department is currently engaged in market research to identify potential offerors, clarify OCTAE’s requirements, and remove barriers to maximize competition. Interested parties are invited to submit comments to the draft PWS and identify any competition barriers. Please, be sure to sign up for additional alerts about this new procurement opportunity (see the bottom of this page for this option). Please note the Department will not release the estimated level of effort for this contract. Interested parties are invited to participate in a webinar on Thursday, January 22, 2015 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, during which the Department will share its vision and goals for the procurement. The draft PWS and instructions/guidance for participating in the webinar will be issued in an amendment/modification to this Sources Sought Notice on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. After the webinar, the Department will post a list of participants to promote potential collaborations as well as a transcript of the event. Please indicate your interest for the webinar by sending an e-mail to dayna trotter at e-mail address: Danya.Trotter@ed.gov with a cc to Stephen Scheffer at stephen.scheffer@ed.gov. Please note that you will not receive a confirmation to your email.
