- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for quantity one, Multi-link Space Wire Recorder and quantity one Multi-link Space Wire Recorder Memory Card. NASA has a need for equipment and software capable of capturing, analyzing, playing-back and manipulating Space Wire traffic between the J1 Spacecraft Simulator and Space Wire attached science instrument simulators. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Aeroflex Colorado Springs, Inc. Aeroflex Colorado Springs, Inc. is the only US 4-Links distributor that can provide the up-grade that is compatible with the existing 4-Links systems that NASA is currently using. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to dorothy.s.baskin@nasa.gov not later than 12:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
