- NASA/ARC has a requirement for requirement for two model-scale single rotor systems, which when combined reults in coaxial rotor systems. The specifications are: 3-bladed rotor system - 3-bladed hub - shaft diameter 20mm Swashplate - non rotating plate 4 pushrod attachment - rotating plate 3 pushrod attachment w/follower Transmission - 5:1 gear ratio - 92 ft. lbs. @ 800 rpm - wet gearbox with fluid inspection window Blades -1430 mm span, 90mm chord, 6mm bolt hole - composite - twist -10 degrees The items must be delivered no later than 3/31/2015. NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from: Xtreme Aerial Concepts in San Jose, California. Market research result indicated that Xtreme Aerial Concepts is the exclusive distributor of Jakadofsky, the only manufacturer that produces the 3-bladed rotor system in the required size. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. PST time on January 27, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
