Description

The New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), located at 1501 San Pedro SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price task order with Life Technologies Corporation, 5791 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA, 92008-7321 for the maintenance and repair of Attune NxT Flow Cytometer. The Government intends to limit sources in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 due to the order of priorities outlined in FAR 8.002 and proprietary parts and materials. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the purchase of Attune NxT Flow Cytometer maintenance and repair services. The Attune NxT Flow Cytometer is used in direct patient care at the NMVAHCS facility. The contractor will be required to provide services during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MST. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811219 - Other Electrical and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 04:00 PM CDT, 01/29/2015. Such notification must include GSA contract number, and documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meet or exceed the capabilities of the manufacturer. Notification shall be e-mailed or faxed to David Daniel, Contract Specialist, david.daniel2@va.gov, or faxed to 432-517-4586. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the NMVAHCS will proceed with the procurement to Life Technologies Corporation. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
