Description
Amendment 0001 Construction project entitled: Dworshak Hatchery Vacuum Degassing Towers Phase 2. The work will be done at Dworshak Fish Hatchery, Ahsahak, Idaho. This will be a firm-fixed-price construction contract. Construction magnitude is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. 100% Performance and payment bonds will be required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and the associated small business size standard is $36,500,000. Solicitation is set aside 100% for small business. Summary of Scope of Work: This project is for replacement of existing packed-column degassers with new vacuum degassers as well as adding additional vacuum degassers to the main water intake at Dworshak Fish Hatchery. Degassing of intake water is required due to the high Nitrogen concentration in the water in the Clearwater River. Dworshak hatchery is the largest hatchery in the northwest and using high quality water is required to safely and effectively rear healthy fish for release into the Snake River. Solicitation Number W912EF-15-B-0004 will be posted to the FBO website on or about December 29, 2014. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid. Bids will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. A site visit will be offered approximately 2 weeks after the solicitation is made available to bidders. Refer to the solicitation for details regarding the site visit. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued.
