- 1. CONTRACT INFORMATION: The Transaltantic Division, Middle East District (TAM), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is evaluating the ability of businesses to perform construction of the ERC Loading Dock at Muafaq Sulti Air Base located in Azraq, Jordan. The Government is performing market research in order to specifically determine the capability of potential offerors to perform the work specified below. It is anticipated that a solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunities in the near future. The solicitation will consist of multiple Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), which are Firm-Fixed-Price. The estimated cost of this Construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Period of Performance has not yet been determined, however, it is anticipated that it will be less than 200 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. 2. PROJECT INFORMATION: The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has the requirement to construct a loading dock at Muafaq Sulti Air Base in Jordan in order to load and unload air freight and other equipment. Specifically, this project includes the construction of a loading dock capable of holding six (6) 463L pallets, up to 10,000 lbs each. The project also includes dock plates, bumpers, a concrete loading ramp, an adjacent paved area and an access road capable of supporting a 25,000 lb K-loader plus 40,000 lbs of equipment. The Government requests interested parties to submit their experience for the construction of concrete works in the Gulf Region (Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, or Oman). Offerors should include the location, value and the associated elements for the project (platform, foundation, ramp, etc). The offeror should also include the year the project was completed and the offeror's role in the construction of the particular project (Prime Contractor/Subcontractor/JV). Offerors may refer to the example provided in the attachment of this announcement as an example of acceptable formatting for submitting their capabilities. See the Additional Info section following this notice. This synopsis is for market research purposes only and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Cover letters and extraneous materials (brochures, etc.) will not be considered.
