This (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) - or a promise to issue a (RFQ) in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or services whatsoever. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited costs incurred to response to this (RFI); all costs associated with responding to this (RFI) will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. Not responding to this (RFI) does not preclude participation in any future (RFQ), if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this (RFI) is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will NOT be returned. Balestreri Anthony.Balestreri@va.gov OBJECTIVE: VHA established the Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation (OPCC&CT) in 2011 to lead one of the most massive changes in the philosophy and process for healthcare delivery ever undertaken by an organized healthcare system. The Undersecretary for Health describes the ideal system as one in which "patients are in control of their health care, and the system is designed around the needs of the patient." To accomplish this requires a paradigm shift from problem-based disease care to Whole Health Care, based on the whole person. The objectives of this acquisition are as follows: A.Develop comprehensive and highly experiential education programs that provide Advanced Clinical Inter-professional Training, aligned with existing Whole Health Courses for clinicians B.Develop Whole Health educational programs pertinent to and effective with the Veteran population; that is, integrated across VHA C.Develop educational content that is aligned with existing and newly developed Whole Health courses for access by Veterans as the target audience. D.Utilize high-tech virtual and distance learning, as well as other learning modalities to reach the target audience in effective ways E.Utilize cutting-edge educational learning paradigms, adult learning principles, and experiential learning activities to optimize learning and knowledge transfer F.Incorporate change theory and leadership principles to maximize program success and implementation G.Deploy existing Whole Health: Change the Conversation Clinical Course and Whole Health Coaching using highly skilled faculty with experience in VHA model of Whole Health H.Develop high-functioning Integrative Medicine faculty with the skills and knowledge to deploy a robust deployment strategy across all VHA and sustain over time I.Utilize an evaluative process to track, assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the Whole Health education programs for the general audience, clinical staff and integrative health coaches. Specific Response Instructions: All correspondence relating to this (RFI) shall be submitted, via email, to the Contracting Specialist (Anthony Balestreri) who issued this (RFI) at: Anthony.Balestreri@va.gov. Please submit your (RFI) response in accordance with the following stipulations: a.All (RFI) submittals are to be no more than 20 pages in length, excluding the title page of the (RFI) document. The (RFI) document shall include the name of your firm, a legitimate email address and phone number of the appropriate Point of Contact (POC), for your firm who will be managing this (RFI) process. The government will not review any information or attachments that are in excess of the 20 page limit stated in these instructions. b.Marketing Materials are not acceptable as a part of this (RFI) process and will be discarded. c.Clearly mark your (RFI) response as Proprietary Information Enclosed, if there is any information included that is exclusive to your firm, as it relates to patents or pending patents, pricing and the like. d.Any and all questions relating to this (RFI) shall be submitted to the Contracting Specialist (Anthony J. Balestreri), at Anthony.Balestreri@va.gov. e.All (RFI) responses shall be submitted to the Contracting Specialist (Anthony J. Balestreri), at Anthony.Balestreri@va.gov no later than 5:00PM EST on January 30, 2015. 2. Information Requested: Interested parties of this (RFI) shall submit the following information: a.Provide the company size and POC information b.Company Information / Socio - Economic Status. Indicate whether your company, subcontractors, teaming partners, joint ventures have a Federal Socio-Economic Status, e.g., Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small business, Women-Owned Small Business, Disadvantaged Small business (8A), and Hub Zone. If Service Disabled or Veteran Owned Small business, is your company and or partners registered in VA's VetBiz repository? c.VA has identified the appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339113, (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing), which has a size standard of 500 employees' for this (RFI). d.Does your company have a Federal Supply Contract for supplies, services, training, equipment and/or total integration? Please describe the scope and include supporting contract numbers. e.Do you have experience with the specific objectives of this acquisition? f.To what extent would your firm need to subcontract in order to provide the necessary services? Please provide a brief description. g.Any other information relevant for the government's request?
