Description

This is a Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written Solicitation is included in this posting. The solicitation number is VA263-14-R-1433 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This requirement is a Full and Open Unrestricted Competition. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement will be 621399 with a size standard of $7.5 million. To be considered for award of a Government contract, the offeror must be currently registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Offerors are encouraged to go to the SAM database www.sam.gov and start the registration process as soon as possible to avoid possible delays should the contractor be selected as a prospective awardee. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 is soliciting proposals for two full-time Medical Physicists working on-site at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, Monday - Friday providing services a minimum of 80 hours every two weeks. One physicist provided must be a Senior Medical Physicist to serve as the Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist to oversee all medical physics and dosimetry aspects in support of radiation oncology physics program at the medical center. And one physicist will be provided as a Staff/Junior Medical Physicist to assist and support the Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist in performing the requirements of the contract. The anticipated period of performance will be from July 1, 2015 (or date of award) through June 30, 2016 for the Base Year, with four (4), one year option renewal periods. Option periods are exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. The date for receipt of offers in no later than February 23, 2014, 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
