Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source with Tyco SimplexGrinnell for the FA279 Simplex 4100 ES Fire Alarm instructor led training courses. These courses will be held in a classroom and include a module for fire alarm control panels, operator interface, hardware, programming, and troubleshooting for the Salem VA Medical Center, located at 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, Virginia. The curriculum and instructors must be authorized to provide Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP) factory authorized providers for SimplexGrinnell product training. This proposed procurement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this notice no later than January 29, 2015, 4:30 PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
