Description

This is a pre solicitation notice. The Contractor will furnish labor and materials for the seismic reinforcement of Building 7 (Boiler Building), the installation of new fire tubes boilers, and a new addition for an emergency generator. The project location is at the VA Medical Center located in Roseburg, Oregon. Work also includes special lead paint handling procedures for previously painted surfaces. Project Title: Seismically Upgrade Building 7 at the VA Medical Center, Roseburg, OR Project No.: 653-12-100 Construction Cost Range: $5,000,000.00 - $10,000,000.00 This procurement is set aside 100% SDVOSB. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 / 36.5mil size standard. Work will include, but is not limited to, selective demolition, asbestos abatement, general construction, mechanical, landscape and electrical work. Contract completion time will be 540 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The VA anticipates awarding a firm, fixed price contract. As authorized by FAR 5.102(a)(7), solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and VA will provide no hard copies. The solicitation, consisting of various bid documents, specifications, forms, and drawings will be available for download at no charge at the FedBizOpps (FBO) website o/a March 6, 2015. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all bid documents and any amendments, and should re-visit FBO website periodically to look for any updates. Further details of all dates and events will be available in the solicitation.
