Description

DRAFT AWIPS RFP DRAFT AWIPS SOO The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO), Eastern Acquisition Division (EAD) would like to provide industry this opportunity to review and comment on the attached Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for the recompete of the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS). Please submit all responses and questions via email to Kenneth Brumfiel at Kenneth.brumfiel@noaa.gov not later than February 16, 2015. This DRFP is not a request for proposal and no award will be made as a result of this announcement. Further, this announcement does not obligate the Government to release a RFP or promise that should a RFP be released, that it will be substantially the same as this DRFP. The Government will not make payment for any costs incurred resulting from this announcement. INDUSTRY DAY UPDATE: Due to a high level of public interest regarding attending the one-on-one session during the AWIPS Industry Days, the Government has extended the one-on-one sessions with industry through February 5, 2015, the one-on-one sessions to be held on Feb. 5th will be held at a different site to be determined (most likely in Silver Spring, MD).
