- Cover Letter The Structural Architect/Engineer Subcontractor will have a wide range of experience in the area of design and construction for industrial facilities. This Subcontractor will include in-house support of the structural engineering disciplines required to provide general support with minimal use of sub-tier consultants. In addition, this firm should have the ability to assemble and manage an effective project team through the use of both in-house and consultant disciplines. The Subcontractor with Structural Expertise will be required to have demonstrated experience in the following areas: Finite Element Analysis; Elastic Foundation Analysis; Structural Planning using experienced based criteria; Structural Concrete design and detailing; Structural Steel design and details; Shallow foundation design and detailing; Deep foundation design and detailing; Earth Retention design and detailing; Forensic Structural Investigations; and Soil Investigation Planning.
